How to take care of your mental well-being in times of stress

Stop and take a deep breath.

It’s been a tough start too the year for everyone and we’re at a point in time where the stories we are surrounded by are showing a great deal of sadness and negativity.

In our unique paints family, we have people who suffer from anxiety and stress related disorders and we know you’re feeling it to.

We wanted to share some tips with you on how we manage difficult times on a personal level, in the hope that it can help you a little.

As a community, we want to band together and help each other so if you have any tips, please share them with us @uniquepaintbynumbers so we can spread the love further.

  1. Stop and take deep breaths: See, if you have read this far in the email, you’ve already started. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health so don’t forget to pause and check in with yourself.
  2. Get creative: Try a new custom paint of your pet, family member or favourite holiday photo. You can even use your left-over paints to create something unique, like painting a picture free hand or painting the rocks in your garden, which looks fabulous.
  3. Keep a gratitude journal: Write down three things you are grateful for every day, it can help keep you in a positive mind-set that can carry in to other areas of your life.
